Can I respond to a dispute?

If you have received a dispute and are within the time frame specified by your processor, you can and should respond to any and all disputes. Too often, merchants do not submit responses against fraud disputes coded, assuming that the dispute was a result of true fraud.

When merchants submit a response with compelling evidence , about 70-85% of those fraud disputes are ruled in favor of the merchant. This indicates true fraud was not really the culprit, and the revenue is now recovered by the merchant.
